After school on Monday 1 August, a group of Lit Club students who are enthusiastic users of Wattpad, a collaborative online writing platform, conducted a presentation for Ruyton staff. Wattpad has been described as something like YouTube for stories rather than videos. It’s popular with teens but also used by recognised and prominent authors like Margaret Atwood. Here at Ruyton, we have students who publish on Wattpad with thousands of readers all over the world. We also have students who offer their services as editors, including a student, Nisha Adihetty , who edited a teen novel which is now for sale through Amazon. Our thanks are extended to Anna T, Sascha G, Catherine A, Dasha L and Nisha A for taking the time and energy to keep our staff informed about this collaborative platform.
