Ruyton recently hosted a parent information session conducted by The Fathering Project. The University of Western Australia-based non-profit team of professionals, aims to support fathers in their vital role as Dads. We now have The Fathering Project books and a DVD available for loan. Any parent interested in borrowing these resources, or any other items in our parent collection, can call into the library after school (Monday – Thursday until 6 pm, Friday until 4 pm). Parents are also welcome to email Julie Purcell (purcellj@ruyton.vic.edu.au) and organise for their daughter to collect this material on their behalf. Following is a list of our new resources - Daughters and their dads: a book for fathers, adult daughters, husbands, father-figures; Fathering from the fast lane: practical ideas for busy dads; The blue book of tips for fathers and father-figures; What kids really need from their dads (DVD).
