On Monday 30 April, Manal Younus, an Australian based freelance storyteller and performance poet, visited Ruyton. Her powerful presentation of spoken-word poetry, was incredibly well received by Year 9 and Year 5 students. The messages within her poems, coupled with her engaging presentation style resonated strongly with the girls. During the lunch break, Manal met with Lit Club students and a selection of enthusiastic Year 5 students. Conversation flowed freely, as Manal and the girls shared their thoughts on the process of writing and finding an audience for their work.
