An excited group of students gathered to watch ‘The Hunger Games’, a film based on Suzanne Collin’s popular novel of the same name. At the completion of the movie, amid much laughter and noisy conversation, they enthusiastically attended to their own hunger issues with generous serves of pizza and ice cream. Their animated discussion touched on key themes addressed within the book and the movie, including the power of media in modern society, the need for alliances during times of conflict and, of course, the role of love in literature of this type.
